Barefoot Design was born when I was a college student.  The holidays came and as is the case with many students my bank account was on 'empty' forcing me to be creative in my gift giving.  Drawing on my artistic flair I created Christmas ornaments for my family and friends.  I developed designs and painted them on canvas.  A trip to the local needlepoint store for threads led to the birth of Barefoot Needlepoint Design. Now here I am years later with a Master's degree in Education in hand happily painting away. 

As anyone looking at this site can see I don't take things too serious.  My designs are whimsical and fun and reflect my view of life.  The real world is a serious place.  Needlepoint is a great escape to anywhere or anything. So, pick up a canvas, start stitching and leave the real world behind!
